Father’s Day cooking and growing experience

Edible Ornamentals will host the first annual Fathers Day growing and cooking extravaganza.  The event will take place on Fathers Day,  20th of June 2010 at Cherwood Nursery in the village of Chawston, Bedfordshire.  The event will coincide with another Fathers Day event right around the corner at Chawston Antiques.

Here is a summary of the planned events:

11:30 am – Cooking chillies in style hosted by Jo Ball

12:15pm – Cooking demonstration:  Chilli Soup by Vicki

1pm – Chilli Pepper Growing Demonstration by Joanna Plumb

2pm – Cooking demonstration:  Mango Salsa by Rowan Savage

3pm – Italy vs New Zealand World Cup Football 

Throughout the day there will be other activities including the following:

  • Make your own salsa
  • Chilli Beer tasting
  • Walking tour of the chilli farm
  • Chilli Pepper plant swap
  • Food:  Chilli burgers and Jalapeno Poppers
