Open for Business!
Joanna and Shawn Plumb of Edible Ornamentals purchased Cherwood Nursery in June, 2007 in order to expand their ever-growing chilli business. 12 months of cleaning and renovating is complete and the nursury is now open to visitors.
Edible Ornamentals started in 2001 with a few chilli plants immediately growing into the thousands and now they grow all kinds of vegetables. Essentially, their passion is for anything that looks great and tastes better!
Just as with the plants, demand quickly outstripped supply when Edible Ornamentals started making their own spicy sauces and, in 2006, consequently opened their own commercial kitchen where their scrumptious, mouth watering sauces are produced.
Shawn and Joanna are obsessed with quality and freshness and therefore always endeavour to pick chillies fresh every morning for the kitchen staff to cook in the afternoon. You can’t get much fresher than that!
